~ Cruises New Route in 2025

McLEAN, VA. ~ The Travel Weekly Magazine Sept. 16, '24 edition reports how the 49th U.S. State of Alaska is today taking the same business position as Barcelona, Spain and Venice, Italy: Tourists Go Home! Paying close attention to Alaska's complaints are all the cruise lines. They agree in 2025 and beyond to slow down ship arrivals into Alaska and they promise to cut back how many cruisers they bring in per ship.

Now, more than ever, if you even THINK you may want to visit Alaska, book it today while you still can at a price you can still afford. Barcelona and Venice forbid cruise ships from docking anywhere near their city centers. Any tourists who do visit are assigned only certain hours and locations to tour. Alaskans have not done this yet, but why push them? Go to Alaska early next May and June before crowds arrive. Here is our Fun & Fitness cruise itinerary for Alaska in 2025.
In 2025 Fun & Fitness flies to Anchorage and takes a spectacular guided transfer tour to board ship in Seward. The Celebrity Summit cruises May 30 to June 6, terminating in Vancouver.  Alaska Airlines offers 28 daily direct flights from Seattle Airport (SEA) into Anchorage Airport (ANC). It is very easy to fly from anywhere in America to Seattle connecting with Alaska Airlines to Anchorage. Phone for Alaska Airlines is 800-426-0333. You fly home from Vancouver Airport (YRV). Celebrity can reserve your air fare for this cruise too. Doing so allows you to delay paying for both the cruise and air until February when final payment is due for both. You may cancel everything without penalty up to Feb. 14th too.

ALL TIPS are paid for all cabin stewards who upkeep your stateroom, and ALL TIPS are paid for all waiters who wait on you throughout the cruise whether in the formal dining hall, at any cafe or bar, and even out on deck. Plus each of you has $10,000 coverage in travel insurance; you have Wi-fi access on the ship; and you each have the Classic Drink package with your choice of alcohol, beer, wine, bottled water, any specialty drink, any gourmet coffee, and any seltzer water with or without alcohol.  This fare also pays all transfers, including your 3 hour tour transfer from Anchorage to Seward which costs $80 per person and your last transfer from the ship to Vancouver's Airport for $30.  You will have NO surprise charges when you cruise with Fun & Fitness.  Do not open the BIG bottles of water placed in your cabin. They cost at least $7 each. Instead, ask your cabin steward, or any waiter, for your small free bottles of  water.  Ask for extras to store in your room fridge too. Why not?  As for shore excursions, you do choose and pay for them separately.
INSIDE STATEROOM: $1700 per person when two in cabin. $2500 when one. Photo shows one bed, but two always available. Big advantage of Inside is it being totally dark when you sleep. Sun does not go down 'til near midnight during summer in Alaska.
WINDOW STATEROOM: $1900 per person when two in cabin. $2800 when one guest is booked in cabin. Photo shows one bed, but two always present. To make one bed two beds are pushed together. Specify bed(s) configuration when booking.
AQUA CLASS BALCONY WITH 42 ' sq. ft. outside deck: $3900 per person when two book. $7000 when Balcony stateroom has one occupant.

A fully refundable deposit for any cabin is $250 per person, or $500 to hold any cabin at  All Inclusive price. Same deposit can hold Celebrity Air too. Final pay off date for  air/sea package is Valentine's Day, Feb. 14th because it's such a Sweetheart Deal! You may cancel everything any time up to Valentine's Day with no penalties and would receive a full deposit refund. Don't wait. Visit Alaska while you still can at a price you can still afford.
